Craniosacral Therapy Osteopath spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and founder of the Upledger Institute, John E. Upledger made a name for himself in alternative medicine by developing a therapeutic technique known as craniosacral therapy. The technique involves a very light manipulation or massage that stimulates the function of the craniosacral system, the membranes that surround spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and protect the brain, spinal cord, spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and central nervous system. This therapy was said to have healed several otherwise mysterious conditions of the spinal cord spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and brain such as migraines, autism, spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and motor coordination impairment. The author presents several case studies of patients whose conditions improved after this treatment. This is one of Upledger's several books on craniosacral therapy spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and other alternative healing methods. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. Autonomic Dysfunction After Spinal Cord Injury Autonomic dysfunction is a major spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and poorly understood consequence of spinal cord injury. It is a cause of very serious disability spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and requires much more research. It should be a focus of treatment strategies. This book will be of interest to anyone involved in research spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and treatment of spinal cord injury since it helps to explain the tremendously negative impact on the body caused by cord injury that is not as obvious as paralysis spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and loss of sensation. It contains a compilation of what is known about bladder, cardiovascular, bowel spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and sexual dysfunction after spinal cord injury, as it relates to the changes within the autonomic nervous system control of these functions. The book begins with a description of the time course of autonomic dysfunctions spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and their ramifications from the first hours after a spinal cord injury to the more stable chronic states. The next section contains three chapters that address anatomical findings that may provide some of the foundation for autonomic dysfunctions in many of the systems. The system-specific chapters then follow in four sections. Each section begins with a chapter or two defining the clinical problems experienced by people with cord injury. The following chapters present research, basic spinal cord injury and alternative medicine and clinical, that address the autonomic dysfunctions. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only.
